The significant expertise and experience ASG has in metal fabrication can now be applied to any number of projects. However, one of the earliest they undertook was to produce vehicle access ladders for Land Rover, originally for the 90 and 110, and later for the Defender and Land Rover Discovery.
Although the intervening years have seen many advances in the manufacturing technology used by ASG, their commitment to excellence in design, engineering and production remains as strong as ever. And ladders made today are still of the same quality which saw those early products meet Land Rover’s own rigorous manufacturing standards.
Whether used to access overhead storage or as a stylish accessory, vehicle ladders from ASG can come in a variety of forms – whether manufactured from client designs or developed with their own in-house design team. Neither are they limited to SUVs, as they can be adapted too for other large vehicles, such as minibuses, commercial vans and motorhomes. There is also a choice of materials, from steel to aluminium extrusion, with any plastic elements, such as end caps, being injection moulded by ASG or vacuum formed by Ansini.
ASG’s unique nylon-powder coating can be applied to all metal components of a step, giving them an ultra-tough, long-lasting finish which is highly scratch resistant. Designs can also incorporate additional features, such as integrated rear lamp guards. Steps can be supplied for production line fit, for dealership fit or to retailers as a kit for home installation by the customer, complete with comprehensive fitting instructions.
