Body Mouldings
Having commenced the injection moulding of vehicle components in the late 1990s, ASG has significantly grown it’s capability in this area over the years. Ongoing investment in injection moulding technology has seen them progress from one machine with a 500t clamp force capacity to the five machines they have now, including a state-of-the-art 1300t machine with servo drive technology. These work alongside robotic part-handling equipment and vacuum material dryers.
With platens capable of moulding parts as long as 2m in length, ASG now has the capability to produce a wide range of exterior mouldings. Ansini too has extensive experience in the vacuum forming of vehicle components, specialising in underbody mouldings, including reinforcement brackets to strengthen bumper assemblies and plastic covers to prevent the ingress of dirt. These vacuum-formed mouldings can be manufactured from virgin ABS, recycled ABS or polypropylene.
Exterior vehicle mouldings produced by ASG range from mud flaps to spoilers and body kit components. They have also provided rear tow bar bumper inserts for a new vehicle from a major automotive client, along with a second variant of a similar product. ASG’s close links with world-renowned exterior trim and bumper tool-making specialists extends their capability to produce high-quality parts. Working with approved partners, they can also supply colour-coordinated mouldings.
